Terms & Conditions — QuickLaunch
Plain English version: you pay once, we build and host your site, you own your content, and your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act apply. By using QuickLaunch you agree to these terms.

Who we are

QuickLaunch is operated by Starlifter Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a New Zealand company. These terms govern your use of the QuickLaunch website building and hosting service at www.quicklaunch.nz.

By placing an order or using our service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

QuickLaunch provides an automated brochure website service for New Zealand small businesses. You fill in a form, pay once, and receive a designed, hosted website typically within 2–3 hours.

The service includes:

The service does not include multiple pages, e-commerce, email hosting, phone support, or custom development beyond what the platform provides.

Pricing and payment

Website: $100 NZD — one-time payment, no ongoing fees.

Custom domain add-on: $50 NZD upfront (includes first year registration), then $50 NZD/yr.

All prices include GST where applicable.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Promo codes provide free access to the service on a quicklaunch.nz subdomain. They are single-use, have no cash value, and cannot be applied to custom domain orders.

Refunds and consumer rights

Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 apply to our services and cannot be excluded. Our services come with a guarantee that they will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

To request a refund or raise a concern, contact support@quicklaunch.nz.

Custom domains

If you add a custom domain (.co, .com, .co.nz, .nz, .net, or .org), we register it on your behalf via our domain registrar. The $50 NZD upfront fee covers the first year of registration.

Domain renewal is billed annually at $50 NZD/yr via the payment method on file. If renewal payment fails, we'll notify you and make reasonable efforts to retry. If the domain lapses, your site will be moved to a free quicklaunch.nz subdomain. We accept no liability for domain loss resulting from failed renewal payments.

Domain registrations are subject to the rules of the relevant registry (e.g. NZRS for .co.nz and .nz). We register domains as a service to you — you are the beneficial owner of your domain name.

Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload — business name, text, photos, logo, and other files. By using the service, you grant us a licence to store, display, and deliver that content as part of your website for as long as you use the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content:

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend a site that we reasonably believe is in breach of these requirements, without notice where necessary.

Our intellectual property

The QuickLaunch platform, templates, code, and branding are owned by Starlifter Ltd. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.

Availability and uptime

We aim to keep your site available at all times but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Maintenance, server issues, or events outside our control may cause temporary downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the service with reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, revenue, or data, except where such losses result from our negligence or breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. On closure, your site will be taken down and your files deleted within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with notice where practical. No refund will be issued on termination for breach.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active customers by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Affiliate links

This site contains affiliate and referral links to third-party services (including pCloud and ShortPixel). If you purchase through one of these links, we may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay. We only recommend services we consider genuinely useful.
